This is the doctoral dossier of Andrew Barrett, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Instructional Systems Technology at Indiana University’s School of Education.
This doctoral dossier serves to organize and present indicators of competencies that I have attained in the IST doctoral program. The dossier functions as the primary evaluative artifact for my qualifying exam prior to my admission to candidacy. In addition, it will document my skills, experience, and progress as I pursue my scholarly career beyond the IST doctoral program.
The dossier demonstrates:
- Productivity in IST research areas, specifically:
- Analysis and evaluation (primary focus)
- Design and development (secondary focus)
- Breadth of knowledge in IST
- Integration of my minor in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs into my overall program
- Professional competencies in Research, Teaching, and Service
The dossier includes:
- Administrative and tracking documents
- Evaluative and descriptive evidence of attainment of competencies
Evidence is presented of work completed from 2000 (five years prior to my entering the program) to the present.
